Thomas Enys (C15)
Thomas was the son of William Enys and Joan Bercle. He married Joan Peryn, daughter and heiress of William Peryn of Helston borough, and held Treluswell, in Gluvias, by right of his wife. Her grandfather was John de Rosuwyk who, in 1415, had granted to his children and their descendants a croft called Meulucorn near Rosuwyk.
Thomas left a will dated April 6 1475 which names his three children, as well as his wife, Joan.
“Thomas Enys Son and heir. By deed dated at Enys 15th Nov: 4Edw4 1464 he and Joan his Wife confirmed to John Enys their Son all Messuages Lands &c in Enys &c Settled his Messuages &c in Nansalwester, on the marriage of his Son John Enys with Elizabeth Densell in 1471 Will date 6 April 1475.” (Extract from EN/1891)
